Geismar, Louisiana -- Chemtech Chemical Services, LLC announces a new process chemical division, Chemtech Performance Services (CPS). CPS, which began operating January 1 in Houston, Texas, provides chemical treatment programs and engineering services to refining and petrochemical industries throughout North America. The new division’s purpose is to expand on Chemtech’s current patented corrosion inhibitor technologies applied in the industrial fertilizer market with the addition of process product technologies. The technologies offered include overhead corrosion inhibitors, desalter extraction aids and brine deoilers, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan scavengers, coker and distillation defoamers, exchanger antifoulants, fuel and biodiesel additives and others. CPS’ aim is to focus on improving process performance for its customers, just as its parent company currently does for industrial water customers. The new performance group offers a dedicated sales and field service team, as well as a well-staffed and equipped engineering group that is the “technical integrity” of the division.
